Affiliate Disclosure

Last updated: June 21, 2026

MarriageScience (marriagescience.com) is reader supported. To keep our content free and independent, we use affiliate links. This page explains, in plain language, what that means for you.

The Short Version

Some of the links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and sign up for or buy a product, we may earn a commission. This comes at no extra cost to you, and it never changes the price you pay.

This disclosure is provided in line with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission guidelines on endorsements and testimonials (16 CFR Part 255).

How Affiliate Links Work

When we recommend a dating site, an AI companion app, a prenup service such as HelloPrenup, or another product, the link often passes through a tracking redirect, usually a marriagescience.com/recommends/ URL.

That redirect tells the partner that you arrived from MarriageScience. If you then take a paid action, the partner credits us with a commission. You pay the same price you would pay going there directly.

Affiliate links on this site are marked for search engines as sponsored and do not pass ranking credit.

Why We Use Affiliate Links

Affiliate income is how we fund the work behind this site. It lets us test products over time, keep reviews and statistics up to date, and publish without putting our content behind a paywall or charging our readers.

In other words, the commissions support the research. They do not buy a recommendation.

How We Decide What to Recommend

Our editorial opinions are our own. A company cannot pay us to receive a positive review, a higher rating, or a place on a “best of” list.

We recommend a product only when it meets our standards for value, safety, and honesty about what it offers. When a product has real drawbacks, we say so, even when it is one we earn from.

Getting free trial access or a review account does not change our assessment.

Our Reviews and Ratings

Reviews reflect hands-on testing and research by our team. Ratings are based on the same criteria across competing products so the comparison stays fair.

Where we compare a product against alternatives, we aim to present accurate pricing and features for every option, not only the ones we are paid to promote.

Programs and Brands We Work With

MarriageScience participates in affiliate programs run directly by brands and through affiliate networks. Products we may earn from include dating platforms, AI companion and AI girlfriend apps, and relationship and prenuptial agreement services such as HelloPrenup.

The specific partners can change over time as products launch, close, or change their terms.

Statistics and Educational Content

Our statistics roundups and relationship guides are informational. They are not sponsored placements, and the data we cite comes from primary and peer reviewed sources, not from our affiliate partners.
