Cloaking

Cloaking is standing someone up and then blocking them everywhere so they cannot reach you.

Cloaking is when someone fails to show up for a planned date and, at the same time, blocks you across messaging and dating apps so all contact vanishes.

You notice it when your date never arrives and your texts will not deliver, with their profile suddenly gone too. It combines being stood up with a clean digital disappearance.

Cloaking is a harsher cousin of ghosting, where a person simply stops replying. The added blocking removes any chance to ask what happened.

If you are cloaked, the silence is information. Stop chasing answers, save your energy, and treat the abrupt exit as a sign about their character rather than yours.
